BALLPEK delegation visited Academy

Vushtri, September 24, 2013 - A delegation from various Balkan countries who are participating in the Police Training Conference of Balkan Countries “BALLPEK”, visited Kosovo Academy for Public Safety (KAPS) where they were hosted by the General Director, Ismail Smakiqi.
 On this occasion, the director Smakqi along with BALLPEK delegation participated in the morning parade of young cadets of the Kosovo Police, Correctional Service and Kosovo Police Inspectorate which is organized every day. Smakiqi in his speech congratulated the cadets for their positive results.
 Further during meeting the delegation in question was informed by the Director Smakiqi important processes in which the Academy is going through for trainings development and for Twinning Project of the European Commission, which has the mission of providing higher education for public safety agencies in our country.

During his presentation he said that cooperation with countries in the region and beyond is very necessary for all academies. By expressing his willingness for cooperation the director Smakiqi informed the delegation that in KAPS are not trained only the members of public safety from Kosovo, but also members of public safety from the region and beyond.

 Meanwhile the delegation of Police Training Balkan Countries Conference “BALLPEK”, thanked the director for their hosting, and expressed willingness that the cooperation in the field of security, especially regarding to trainings will continue even further.
