It is constituted the Board of the Academy

Vushtrri, 08 April 2013 – On the basis of the Law for the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety was established the Board of the Academy, where today was constituted the Board of the Academy  compounded by the Chairman and seven members. Mr. Ismet Kabashi was elected the Chairman of the KAPS Board, who is also the Main Prosecutor of the State, whereas the members of the Board are: Ismail Smakiqi, General Director of KAPS; Shpend Maxhuni, General Director of Kosovo Police (KP); Naim Huruglica, Director of Kosovo Customs (KC);  Resmi Hoxha, General Director of Kosovo Correctional Service (KCS); Metije Ademi, General Director of Probation Service (PS); Fadil Kodra, the Executive Chief of Emergency Management Agency and Fitim Shishani, the Executive Chief of Police Inspectoriate of Kosovo (PIK).

During today’s meeting also was proposed that the board’s secretarial to be the Legal Office of the Academy. 

On the basis of the Law on the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety was issued the Regulation for the Board of the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety based to which the board has mandate of one-year .

Establishment of the Academy Board aims to establish basic minimum of professional standards, policies which are dealing with public safety trainings, specialized and advanced education of the Public Safety Institutions in the Academy.
