Himberg and Tabur held a lecture at KAPS

Vushtrri March 18, 2013 - Rector of the Finnish Police College, Kimmo Himberg and the rector of  Estonian Police Academy, Lauri Tabur today in Kosovo Academy for Public Safety (KAPS), held a lecture on the topic "The need for higher education in public safety institutions and its impact on public safety." This lecture was attended by public safety members, KAPS senior management and representatives of Public Safety Agencies. Thanking the KAPS managers and members of the security for their welcoming, both rectors said that KAPS has achieved a high quality and a respectable and credible position that in the near future to become with higher education in terms of the safety section. During the lecture the rectors Himberg and Tabur highly praised the excellent relations between Finland, Estonia, and Kosovo respectively relations between academies of these three countries
 Making their presentation how the police colleges in Finland and Estonia are functioning, both rectors estimated that Kosovo Academy for Public Safety is creating conditions that any members of public safety who are trained to be prepared in a professional manner.
Himberg said that thanks to higher education, Finland is ranked among the first countries regarding to the reliability to the security section. He said that the higher education in public safety institutions is needed since it has a positive effect on the preparation of public safety members.
At Kosovo Academy for Public Safety is continuing the Twinning project which deals with improving of higher education in public safety and security section.
Twinning Project is funded by the European Commission, which was won by Finland and Estonia and deals with improving of higher education in public safety section.
