Director Smakiqi had a meeting with a Head of LFC - al-Sagizli

Vushtrri, 18 December 2012 – General Director of the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety (KAPS) Ismail Smakiqi, had a meeting with a delegation from Libya led by Mustafa al-Sagizli, Head of Council of Libyan fighters. Director Smakiqi during the meeting made a description of how it works after the war Academy so far. Smakiqi Director congratulated the representatives of the Libyan people for change in their country and for the easy passage of rapid transition phase. Libyan delegation was also informed for the continued progress being achieved in the Academy as well as its objectives and priorities to be achieved in the future. Director Smakiqi also informed the delegation about the trainings and activities developed in KAPS from all institutions of public security. On  this occasion  Smakiqi said that KAPS  has established good cooperative relations with all police academies in region.

‘’Kosovo Academy for Public Safety is ready to cooperate   with all Academies who are in charge for public safety in country’’ said  Smakiqi. While Libya Fighters Council representative gave an overview of current developments in Libya, after the revolution achievements and the challenges that are facing new institutions in establishing the rule of law in the country. Libyan representative described many important achievements in Kosovo, showing interest to take its experience in building democratic institutions and legal infrastructure creation. The meeting was  showed  interest in establishing a long-term cooperation between the two countries.
