Chief of the General Director Cabinet of Police of the Republic of Albania visited Academy

Vushtrri, July 17, 2012 - General Director of Kosovo Academy for Public Safety, Ismail Smakiqi hosted at the meeting the chief of General Director cabinet of Police of the Republic of Albania, Ilo Kleqka.

Initially, Smakiqi informed the delegation about important processes that Academy is going through; particularly he spoke for twinning project, funded by the European Commission, for Academy to become an institution of higher education.

Smakiqi and Kliqko during the meeting have discussed the possibility of cooperation in the field of training for law enforcement. "The Academy has made a significant contribution to the process of cooperation in field of security not only with Albania but also and with other neighbouring countries, through joint training," said Smakiqi.

Apropos, both sides expressed interest in further expanding cooperation in field of security and opportunity to benefit from the experience of the two academies.
