Chief of EULEX Police Component visited the Academy
Vushtrri, May 30, 2012 - General Director of Kosovo Academy for Public Security, Ismail Smakiqi hosted a delegation from the European Union mission in Kosovo -EULEX, led by Ole Madsen chief of Police component. Smakiqi initially welcomed the delegation and then informed them about the work, activities, training in the Academy held by six public safety agencies such as the Kosovo Police, Customs Service, Emergency Management Agency, the Kosovo Correctional Service, Probation Service and Kosovo Inspectorate.
Smakiqi also spoke about the ongoing stages of the Academy as in the processes of accreditation, certification and its objectives to be done in the near future with higher education, mainly in the field of security. Director Smakiqi thanked all international missions for their contribution in the field of security as well the European Union mission- EULEX.
He expressed conviction that Kosovo Academy of Public Security and EULEX will continue the cooperation in the future.
While Chief of EULEX- Police Component Ole Madsen said the purpose of his visit to the Academy was to be informed more closely with work, training and activities conducted at this institution. He said that cooperation between EULEX and the Academy will continue in the future.
