Libyan ex -warriors visited KAPS
Vushtrri, May 14, 2012 - The Kosovo Academy for Public Safety (KAPS), Committee for Warrior Affairs composed of 30 persons who have been ex - warriors in Libya ended today a lecture through which they have gained experience on how to transform military to the civilian life. Libyan ex-warriors in KAPS have acquired knowledge about the demobilization program, disarmament and reintegration of military persons and their involvement in the institutions. The organization SPARKS from Netherlands arranged this visit to KAPS, suggesting the ex Libyan soldiers that in Kosovo they can get training and experience about disarmament of soldiers. Experts on public safety and Kosovo Police, Customs Service, Kosovo Correctional Service and Emergency Management Agency instructors have delivered lectures to ex- soldiers from Libya. Also experts from UNDP have lectured in this pilot study delivered in KAPS. Lectures lasted seven days.
