KAPS Director Mr.Smakiqi participated in the conference organized by AEPC

Vushtrri, 20 January, 2012 - General Director of the Academy for Public Safety (KAPS) Mr. Ismail Smakiqi, accompanied by Director of Training and Program Support Dukagjin Dinaj, have participated in Regional Conference of the Association of European Police Colleges (AEPC) which was held on 17 and 19 of this month in Albania. The purpose of this conference has been discussion for preparing of election of new president of AEPC, preparation of managing board for next meeting that will be held in February this year, in Solna, Sweden, cooperation with DCAF, CEPOL and MEPA.Also during this conference are presented programs for trainings of public safety members in our country. KAPS General Director, Ismail Smakiqi said that such conferences have great influence in advancing the platform of communication, cooperation, exchange and coordination of experiences between member states of this association. In regional conference, except Albania which was host, participated also Kosovo, Sweden, Slovakia, Romania, Germany and Norway.  In this conference participated as well the President of the Association of European Police Colleges, Maurice Petit, Deputy Minister of Interior of Albania, General Director of Police of Albania Hysni Burgaj and representatives of OSCE and ICITAP of Republic of Albania.
