Vushtrri, November 23, 2011 - At the Center for Public Safety, Education and Development (KCPSED) on Friday was a certified twenty one public safety members who successfully completed training on "Fighting corruption within the institutions", organized by the OSCE mission in Kosova. The certificated are senior officials of the Kosovo Police, Customs, Police Inspectorate members, officials of the Special Prosecution and judges

Chief Executive of KCPSED, Ismail Smakiqi thanking the OSCE mission for the continued cooperation assess that "Advanced training on anti-corruption", has great impact on capacity building of members of the public security institutions. He said that by such trainings members of the public safety benefits the new knowledge that will bring new values to their organization where they work. In this occasion Smakiqi also spoke about the center priorities. "In the continuity  of increasing the capacities and commitments in accordance with obligations arising from the Constitution of the Republic of Kosova, the applicable legislation and priorities of the Government of the Republic of Kosova, Ministry of Internal Affairs, Center for Public Safety Education and Development is continuing with its reforms by developing strategic development plan for three years, accreditation, his internal organizational restructuring, membership in international organizations such as AEPC, and INTERPA, twinning with ECLO project. Shefqet Beqaj speaking on behalf of the General Director of Police said that fighting corruption is the Kosovo police mission.
At the same time welcomed the OSCE mission for contribution given to the maintenance of numerous training. Carsten Tweilmer, director of the Department of Public Security in the OSCE expressed his willingness that also in the future to support the Kosovo Police with diverse trainings. The aim of training was to strengthen the skills of relevant actors to effectively identify and investigate corruption. This training is also used as an opportunity to improve relations between agencies and sharing of experiences and best practices. The training lasted five days
