Steering Committee of the Twinning Project held its meeting

Vushtrri, September 16, 2016 - Kosovo Academy for Public Safety (KAPS), today held a meeting of the Steering Committee of the Twinning Project, which aims to support further education in the field of public safety. During the meeting, international experts presented the work done during the second quarter.


Director General of the Academy, Ismail Smakiqi thanked all collaborators for their contribution in the implementation of the twinning project.


Considering this project as very important for all public safety agencies in the country, Smakiqi said that this project will fulfill all their goals. Smakiqi director said that he is satisfied with the performance of the twinning project.


“It makes me feel confident that the project will end with success. The Academy will be dedicated in partnership with all local institutions, with the European Commission and all other stakeholders in order to accomplish the goal of the project  as it is intended, "said Smakiqi.


Director Smakiqi said that the project will be developed even further for basic research programs, in order to be offered better services to Kosovo citizens in the field of security.

 

While Krista Haak, project leader from member states, said that during the three month period has been made a productive work.


Haak appreciated that thanks to good cooperation with Academy officials and other experts in the second quarter were achived good results in the project. 


Despite the challenges Haak said that so far have been realized all the points that were foreseen in the plan.


Even experts who were present at the meeting estimated that the project has made progress. The participants also talked about the steps and actions to be taken in the project over the coming months.

The meeting was attended by high officials of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, representatives of all public safety agencies, local and international experts of the project.
