Experts of Kosovo Accreditation Agency visited KAPS.

22.05.2014 Vushtrri, May 22, 2014 – The Kosovo Academy for Public Safety (KAPS) today hosted the assessment team from Kosovo Accreditation Agency, the aim of this visit was to collect information in the field of accreditation of academic programs in the Faculty of Public Safety in KAPS. Experts met with the Director General of the Academy, Ismail Smakiqi and academic staff of the Academy

Experts fact-finding visit was focused on topics dealing with: mission, organization and management, personnel, finance, plan development, quality management, internationalization, whereas in the  meeting with academic staff, experts were focued on topics curriculum, teaching and research topics.

During the fact-finding visit, the experts were also introduced to th supporting facilities of study program including library, teaching hall,  office were studies will be developed, lecturers offices and the entire infrastructure that possesses Academy.


Unlike Kosovo Academy for Public Safety (KAPS), dated 07.12.2012 addressed to the National Quality Council (NQC )with demand  that the Academy to be subjected to the accreditation process. On 7 December 2012, the NCC at its meeting takes a decision and responds to Academy by approving its request to be  subject to assessment only at the level of study program.
In fact-finding team of experts for accreditation  present were Prof. dr. Reinhard Meyers from the University of Muenster (DE) and prof. dr. Thomas Feltes from Ruhr-University Bochum (DE)

The experts team were accompanied by Basri Muja Director of  Kosovo Accreditation Agency.
