Smakiqi hosted a delegation from Iraq

Vushtrri, May 13, 2014 – Today, Kosovo Academy for Public Safety was visited by a delegation from Iraq, who was hosted by the General Director of the Academy, Mr. Ismail Smakiqi.
The purpose of this visit was to inform closely with the functioning of the Academy and exchanging the experiences on building of security institutions.
Director Smakiqi briefed the delegation regarding trainings, activities, mission and vision of the Academy. He also spoke about the important processes through which the Academy has passed since the establishment until now, and for the continued support that international partners have given in the establishment of this institution.
Smakiqi said that the Academy with work and training of all members of public safety agencies in the country, including all communities is an example of interethnic tolerance and respect for human rights and freedom.
Director Smakiqi informed the delegation, about the Twinning Project that aims establishment of higher education study program.
While, General Khaled Mehanna, expressed his satisfaction with the visit. He expressed the hope that their visit in Kosovo will enable that in a near future will be opened the roads for cooperation between the Kosovo Police and the Iraqi.
"The purpose of the visit in Kosovo, namely in public security institutions is to take and learn from your experiences," said Mehanna.
