In KAPS is held the sixth meeting of the Steering Committee of the Twinning Project

In the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety is held the sixth meeting of the Steering Committee of the Twinning Project, where was evaluated the course of this project for the last three months. During this meeting is presented the   work done so far by international experts and local collaborators in the realization and implementation of this project.
General Director of the Academy, Mr. Ismail Smakiqi thanked all partners for their contribution to this project. Smakiqi said the project is very important for all public safety agencies in Kosovo. The Academy will be committed with a full partnership of all local institutions like the European Commission and all other stakeholders that the project be completed successfully” said Smakiqi.
During this meeting Smakiqi spoke about the adoption of regulations by the Government Regulation (GRK)-No. 25/2013 for the payment of training and teaching staff and functional area experts and Regulation (GRK) - Nr. 26/2013 for higher education in Kosovo Academy for Public Safety, which are of great importance to the accreditation of the Academy and the opening of the Faculty of Security from October 2014.
Whereas the leader of the Twinning Project, Mr. Anti Haikio said that Kosovo Academy for Public Safety is working on the realization of a very important project. He said that the Academy already meets all the conditions of the education system here to become in Bachelor level.
Also the participants estimated that the project which aims to improve the basic training program and the creation of new higher education studies at the Bachelor level is toward   finalization.
