Kosovo Academy for Public Safety donated over 88 doses blood

Vushtrri September 13, 2013 - A large number of cadets of the Kosovo Police, the Police Inspectorate of Kosovo, the Kosovo Correctional Service and other officials working in Kosovo Academy for Public Safety today voluntarily donated blood.
 
Humanitarian action of blood donation was conducted in cooperation with the Health Service of the Kosovo Police, Blood Transfusion of the University Clinical Centre of Kosovo and the medical team of KAPS.

During this a day action held at the Academy are donated over 88 doses blood for the needs of Blood Transfusion Centre.

The medical team of the National Transfusion Centre in cooperation with the police medical team visited the academy to enable members to donate blood without a break from work duties and activities.

 Medical staff said that in call for willingly blood donations were have responded to a large number of members of the Public Security Institutions who are attending training at the academy.

General Director of the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety, Ismail Smakiqi during his visit to medical staff who collected blood said that he was pleased that the Academy has become a good example for blood donation. 

"Donating blood is an sacrifice and great help for all those citizens who need blood," said Smakiqi
