Double European champion and now world champion

19.11.2012

Vushtrri, November 19, 2012 - Anton Cena an instructor at Kosovo Academy for Public Safety, which this time has represented the Republic of Kosovo in international competitions is declared world champion in judo.
Judo world championship was held in Miami Doral Florida, USA, from 08-12 November 2012 in which Cena took first place. This time as well Cena was met in the final competition with the Russians but this time defeated them and is declared world champion in judo.
First fight I had with German Rennhack Jorg that I defeated him with Ippon. Second fight was harder for me with the European vice champion the Russian representative Igor Glyvuk which I have managed to defeat in the last second who I threw in JUKO.
The upcoming fight was in the semi finals with French representative Jan Luc Garcia whom I defeated with Ippon.
The final was a great challenge for me because I met with the world champion Russian representative Nikolay Egorov, or the favorite of this competition, but after a hard fight in the direction of gold point (golden score) I managed to throw on ippon and to be declared world champion in judo. With that I told to everyone in the sport hall that this time the world judo champion is Kosovar.
Next European Championship competition for the master of Judo will be held in Paris-France.
Finally allow me to thank the Kosovo Police and Kosovo Academy for Public Safety where I work as an instructor for continuing support that they have given for me and are doing for their members
