Two students from "LAUREA" University started their studies at the Academy
22.02.2023Vushtrri, February 22, 2023 - Two students from the University of Applied Sciences "LAUREA" in Finland, started their studies at the Faculty of Public Safety (FPS) which is part of the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety (KAPS).
In the framework of the cooperation between the Academy and the Erasmus+ program of the European Union, the two students Jessika Kokko and Oskar Leskinen, who study at the Bachelor's level for Order, Security and Risk Management will stay at the Academy during the entire semester, which is until May 12 this year.
It is the first time that foreign students stay at the Academy for studies, with the purpose of obtaining credits (ECTS) that are transferred to their Faculty in Finland.
During the meeting with the professors of the Faculty of Public Safety, Vilard Bytyçi and Ferid Azemi, the students from Finland were informed about the conditions and rules of studying at the FPS at the Academy. The students also received information about the subjects they will attend during this semester as well as about the study visits they will make to public safety institutions and the international partners of KAPS.
While the students Kokko and Leskinen expressed their satisfaction for the opportunity given to study for one semester at the Faculty of Public Safety at the Academy.
Otherwise, their studies at the Academy have been made possible through the Erasmus+ EU program, through which KAPS has signed an inter-institutional agreement with the University of Applied Sciences "LAUREA”.
The head of the Office for Foreign Relations, Avni Istrefi, and the head of the Information Technology Division, Sami Zeka, also participated in the meeting with the Finnish students..
