Research and development projects
Kosovo Academy for Public Safety has a legal mandate to conduct research and development (R&D) in the field of the public safety. R&D projects in KAPS produce information for strategic and operational needs as well as for educational purposes.
KAPS provides R&D information and services especially for public safety institutions Kosovo Police, Kosovo Correctional Service, Kosovo Probation Service, Kosovo Customs, Emergency Management Agency and Kosovo Police Inspectorate. The purpose of R&D projects is to improve for example the quality of services, work well-being and cooperation.
Research and development work systematically produces new information to be utilized in various ways. R&D projects in KAPS are mainly based on empirical point of view and cooperation between project staff and practitioners. Project themes focus on organizational issues as well as on current phenomena in public safety environment.
