Dean Gashi participated in the conference "Scientific research and public safety"
19.05.2022Tiranë, 26 April 2022 - Dean of the Faculty of Public Safety at the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety, Mr. Bejtush Gashi, participated in the international scientific conference on "Scientific research and public safety", which was organized on April 26, 2022 by the Security Academy in Tirana. During this conference, Dean Gashi presented the speech "The model of scientific research in the field of security in the Republic of Kosovo."
The purpose of this conference was to discuss issues related to the research report on public safety.
During the conference, the participants presented their experiences and findings about the modalities for the future regarding education in the field of public safety.
The conference was attended by representatives from various institutions, such as: Academy of Sciences, Academy of Armed Forces, and National Agency for Scientific Research and Innovation in Tirana and Kosovo Academy for Public Safety, etc., as well as the pedagogical and research staff of the Academy of Security.
The Director of the Security Academy in Albania, Bilbil Mema, at the opening of the conference, assessed as very important the continuation of the expansion of scientific research in the Security Academy and in the State Police. .
While, Xhavit Shala, director of the Scientific Research Center (SRC), of the Security Academy, presenting the topic "Scientific research and public safety: the experience of SRC, achievements and challenges", presented the work developed over the years by SRC, thus exposing how scientific research relates to needs and challenges.
Bejtush Gashi, Dean of the Faculty of Public Safety / Kosovo Academy for Public Safety, delivered a speech on scientific research in the field of public safety in Kosovo "Scientific research model in KAPS, Kosovo".
In the first session for research projects in the field of public safety as well as a summary information on the state of development of the research in Albania, presented Mirela Muça, Director General of the National Agency for Scientific Research and Innovation. Zaho Golemi, Head of the Scientific Research Sector, gave a speech on the topic "Scientific research and institutionalization in AS (from the tradition of scientific research in Albania to that in AS)".
In the second session of the Conference, Finnish experts spoke: Vesa Muttilainen Director of Scientific Research at the University Police College of Finland; Vesa Huotari first researcher at the University Police College of Finland; Tero Kokkonen first researcher and research and development manager at the University of Applied Sciences - JAMK, and Anna-Liisa Ojala senior advisor at the University of Applied Sciences - JAMK. The conference closed with some conclusions and discussions on the main topics.
