A Delegation from Police Training Center of North Macedonia visited the Academy

Vushtrri , February 12, 2020 - The Director General of the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety Mr. Ismail Smakiqi, hosted  a delegation from the Police Training Center of Northern Macedonia led by Goce Bacanov, Head of Training Center and Assistant Minister of Internal Affairs. The delegation was also accompanied by ICITAP American representatives based in Skopje and Pristina. 


The purpose of this visit was to share the Academy's experiences regarding the international accreditation by IADLEST of the United States of America.


In this meeting, the Director General of the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety Mr. Ismail Smakiqi spoke to participants about the role of the Academy in training of members of the public safety, challenges as well as organization until the accreditation by IADLEST.


He added that ICITAP has a very important role for the Academy, by providing unreserved support in the provision of training as well as the support with the necessary equipment that has helped professionalize members of the public safety.


Whereas Head of the Training Center and Assistant Minister of Internal Affairs Mr. Goce Bacanov congratulated Director Smakiqi on the hard work and successes achieved at the Academy and said that sharing experiences and collaborating with the Academy will help the Police Training Center of North Macedonia to achieve IADLEST accreditation. 


During these two days that lasts the visit of the delegation from Northern Macedonia, KAPS senior management has made presentations in various fields, which have largely helped to share experiences and best practices in achieving the results that have brought the Academy up to IADLEST accreditation. 


At the end of the visit, the delegation in question were pleased with the sharing of  experiences and best practices by expressing sincere thanks to the KAPS leaders, who also emphasized that the Academy with its work and commitment today is an example,  for countries of the region and wider.
