A delegation from Turkey visited the Academy

Vushtrri, 06 November 2018 - The Kosovo Academy for Public Safety today was visited by the delegation from Turkey in the field of emergencies who were accompanied by senior officials of the Emergency Management Agency (AME).

The delegation was hosted by the Director of the Department of Training and Program Support Kastriot Jashari as well from other Senior Academy Officials, who initially greeted the attendees on behalf of the General Director Ismail Smakiqi wishing them warm welcome at KAPS.

Director Jashari stated that this is the important visit by the Turkish delegation as a starting point for future cooperation in exchanging experiences and best practices between the two institutions.

Subsequently, Director Jashari presented to the audience the Academy's mission by informing them about the training held in the Academy by six security agencies, among them the Agency for Emergency Management, as well as providing of bachelor's higher education.

Also Jashari spoke about international cooperation that the Academy with regional countries and beyond with special emphasis he talked about the accreditation of the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety of the International Association of Directors of Standards and Enforcement Training United States, (IADLEST).

While the delegation from Turkey were concerned about curricula in the field of emergency and the functioning of training and Faculty of Public Security within the Academy.

At the end, they assessed the visit to the Academy as very important and expressed their interest in future cooperation.
