The Kosovo Academy for Public Safety is accredited by the National Qualifications Authority, and during the next week it is expected to be accredited by the International Association of Directors of Standards and Law Enforcement Training of the United States of America

Vushtrri, 27 April 2018 - After a more than two year process, the National Qualifications Authority on 26 April 2018 accredited the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety and validated the Professional Programs:
New Police Officer, PIK Inspector, Customs Officer, Correctional Officer and Probation Officer. Fire-fighters qualification decision will be taken in August 2018.

The process of creating these professional programs was realized out by the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety, Public Safety Agencies during the Twinning Project development, supported by experts from Finland and Estonia.
The Kosovo Academy for Public Safety next week will be evaluated by the team of evaluation experts from the International Association of Directors of Standards  and Law Enforcement Training of the United States of America, for the purpose of international accreditation of the Academy.

This is the first time that this association makes an international assessment and accreditation outside the US. Kosovo Academy for Public Safety has the opportunity to be the first institution in the region and beyond with the status of the Institution with International Accreditation.

Director of the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety, Mr. Ismail Smakiqi, during these two days on the occasion of accreditation of the Academy by the National Qualifications Authority and the accreditation process by the International Association of Directors of Standards and the United States Law Enforcement Training, has been conducting meetings with the Academy staff, students, training participants, professors of the Faculty of Public Safety, instructors and teachers of Public Safety Agencies, as well as International Partner ICITAP, OSCE, Twinning Project.
