A delegation of KFOR from the United States Army at Camp Bondsteel, visited the Academy

Vushtrri, April 10, 2018 – Today Kosovo Academy for Public Safety (KAPS)  was visited  by the KFOR delegation from the United States Army at Bondsteel Camp, led by Major Bahadori  and  Sergeant Major of  Command  Andreë McKinley . The delegation was hosted by the General Director of the Academy, Ismail Smakiqi and the Dean of the Faculty of Public Safety at the Academy Bejtush Gashi.

During this visit the delegation was informed about the Academy's history, capabilities and further development.

"Cooperation with  the American KFOR is considered with particular importance, considering your very important contribution to peace and stability in Kosovo," said Director Smakiqi, emphasizing the organization of special training by KAPS for Kosovo public safety officials in the field of cybercrime, corruption, organized crime and terrorism.

While Dean Gashi said that he is open to cooperate with American KFOR through the organization of joint lectures in areas of common interest, such as civil-military cooperation.
From their part, superiors from USA Army Camp Bondsteel expressed their satisfaction with the level and quality of education and training offered at the Academy, expressing further support for the Academy.
