At the Academy will be held a workshop for communities in raising awareness to join the ranks of the Kosovo Police

Vushtrri, Aprill 10, 2018 - At the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety today began the " Workshop for Awareness Raising of Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian Communities to join the Kosovo Police ranks".

Present at the opening of the workshop were the General Director of the Academy Ismail Smakiqi, Colonel Taiba Canolli,  from the OSCE were present Shpresa Muharremi and Shpresa Mulliqi and and other officials from the security institutions.

General Director of Kosovo Academy for Public Safety Ismail Smakiqi in his speech said that the OSCE is a permanent partner of the Academy and in this case also a partner for communities, by giving a contribution in information, awareness and the ability to be part of of the Kosovo Police.

Speaking about diversity and respect for human rights and freedoms in communities Director Smakiqi said that the Academy is an example in this regard.

Director Smakiqi also motivated young people of communities to be prepared to be part of the Kosovo Police because it is proud and honor to work in this important institution in maintaining general security for all citizens of the Republic of Kosovo regardless of age , race or religion.

By welcoming the participants, Shpresa Muharremi said that today we are here to see the opportunity and motivation to be part of the Kosovo Police. She further stated that work in the Kosovo Police is not just a job opportunity but it is also human work in maintaining overall security. "This is a good opportunity for you to contribute to security not only in your community but also for all citizens of the Republic of Kosovo," stated Muharremi.

While Colonel Taibe Canolli said that she feels privileged to be part of this activity, which is organized at the Academy with the help and support of the OSCE. Further, Canolli informed the participants about the preparations made by the Kosovo Police for the next generation.

The workshop will last three days from April 10-12, 2018, where will be developed various topics related to the possibility and awareness of communities to be part of the Kosovo Police.
