New Twinning Project IPA II is launched

Vushtrri, Feb. 02.2016 - At the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety today launched a new twinning project which aims to "further support of education in public safety in Kosovo". Director General of the Academy Ismail Smakiqi, met today with the Resident Twinning Advisor, Ritva Vähäkoski.  

 

Director Smakiqi congratulated Twinning Advisor, Vähäkoski, for starting this project. He further expressed his satisfaction for the start of this project that will improve the quality of services offered by KAPS. 

 

In this case Smakiqi informed Vähäkoski about the meeting held on January 19, 2016, which was attended by officials from the Kosovo Prime Minister Office, relevant Ministries, Institutions of Public Safety and international partners of KAPS, in which everyone was told for the beginning of the Twinning Project, and participants of the Project Steering Committee were selected. 

 

At the end Director Smakiqi offered to Vähäkoski a full support in the implementation of all tasks and activities within the project. 

 

While the resident twinning adviser, Ritva Vähäkoski thanked Director Smakiqi for hosting and support of project start.

 

 She emphasized the good cooperation already achieved in the framework of the project, based on cooperation that KAPS has had during the previous project. 

 

"Half of the work is performed when good planning is done," Vähäkoski said. At the end of the meeting, Vähäkoski decleared the readiness to begin the work under the Project. 

 

Twinning Project "Support to further education in public safety in Kosovo" will last three years where beneficiaries are Finland and Estonia.
